Adam Flores

Adam Flores is the Manager of Community Engagement and Education at the St. Louis Shakespeare Festival. He oversees many programs including Shakespeare in the Streets, which in 2019 included putting the audience on buses and ferries to see “Love on the River’s Edge” a collaboration between Normandy, MO and Brussels, IL. As a producer he has also worked to help create “The Bosnian American Project: Dance for Life” at Mustard Seed Theatre, where he was a founding resident artist, as well as “The Every 28 Hours Plays” in response to the Ferguson moment with Oregon Shakespeare Festival and the One-Minute Play Festival. He has received many accolades for his work as a professional actor and director, most recently seen as Jaxton in “The Thanksgiving Play” at Repertory Theatre St. Louis. He holds a MFA in directing theatre from Baylor University where his thesis focused on the work of the Federal Theatre Project. As an educator he has taught everything from Pre-K ELL to graduate theatre classes as Associate Professor at Fontbonne University, his undergrad alma mater. He’s honored to serve on the board of Consuming Kinetics Dance Company and the St. Louis Community Gospel Choir. Flores is the proud son of an immigrant Air Force vet and a public school special ed teacher. Raised in rural Holts Summit, MO, he has called St. Louis his home, spiritually if not always physically, since 2007.
